Ceramic and enameled cast iron cookware also work well with induction.
Care Needs to be Taken
While induction cooking is generally very safe, some precautions need to be followed:
- Use flat-bottomed cookware. Curved or odd-shaped pots may not make full contact or may slide around on the cooking zone.
- Do not place empty cookware on the cooktop. Likewise, do not pre-heat unfilled pans. This could damage the cookware.
- Remove cookware after cooking. Residual heat will remain in the cookware for some time.
